About me
Hi, I’m Melissa
I am a wife, a teacher, and a proud mum to two sassy girls, aged four and two. I have always been passionate about supporting children and their families, both personally and professionally.
When my first daughter was born, her arrival did not go as planned and resulted in a traumatic birth experience. It took time to process everything that happened. As a result, I found it difficult to put her down and I cherished contact naps as I wanted to keep her close. However, as my return to work approached, I was functioning on just two to three hours of sleep each night and I knew something had to change. The exhaustion wasn’t just physical — it was emotional and mental too. I found myself dreading the days ahead, wondering how I would manage responsibilities on such little rest. I was stuck in a cycle of sleepless nights and anxious days, unsure of how to move forward or where to even begin fixing the problem. I finally admitted that I needed support. Reaching out to a sleep consultant felt like a big step — part relief, part vulnerability — but I knew I couldn’t continue the way I was. I wanted to feel like myself again. I wanted clarity, energy, and the ability to show up fully both at work and at home. That decision became the turning point that decision transformed our lives. Gradually, I began to feel like myself again.
When my second daughter arrived, we faced new challenges, including CMPA and reflux. However, this time I had a solid understanding of healthy sleep foundations and felt confident implementing them from the early months. I experienced first hand how establishing the right foundations can have a profoundly positive impact on both babies and their families.
From that point on, I knew I wanted to share this knowledge and support other families in the way I had once been supported — helping them feel empowered, rested, and confident.
